What I am trying to say is...
A compilation of what im thinking, wearing, using, seeing, reading, purchasing, and scrolling. Welcome to my brain.
I love Substack. I love reading, always have. I love writing, especially about things that could be considered 'unimportant'—lol, that's my strong suit. However, my brain has such a hard time compartmentalizing the things that I want to talk about. It's not that I cannot think of anything; it's that I am thinking about everything. This is precisely why I never had a niche on TikTok either, which, for some time, I was convinced was crucial.
I feel the opposite now. I don’t find interest in any one niche. I find interest in a personality, with feelings, thoughts, interests, and even better—an insight into their day, what they love and hate and why. So, I decided to create a routine dump (trust me, routines are really hard for me, so we’re going to see how this goes).
What I'm trying to say is… this will be a compilation of it all. A biweekly compilation of everything that makes me feel something. And I have to warn, it most likely won't be grammatically correct. You may come for the beauty recs or maybe for the clothes, possibly for the food or the side stories? But regardless, I am glad you came at all.
What I have been wearing…I cannot stop wearing this Uniqlo top. If it works, it works. I really love to mix high/low items but also feminine/masculine pieces in my wardrobe and feel like this outfit speaks to that perfectly.
The highlight of my past week had to be this facial from Stalle Studios. I see Carly Horvath and she has rid me of my facial trust issues. We did their signature plus a CO2 treatment add on which pushes CO2 into the muscular level of the skin. No idea why scientifically that is a good thing but I know my skin looked other worldly. Here is the full treatment she chose for me!
I also cannot stop wearing this knitted tee by Almada Label. I contemplated the purchase for a couple weeks and I have to say I am so glad I did get it. This shape feels like a staple for me. Easy to throw on and look put together. I have even worn it over workout clothes to pilates. Duality and functionality are so important to me in a wardrobe!
What I have been scrolling….This bag. I sold my dark brown Bottega and am feeling the gap now. I just got a vintage tan Gucci Jackie so feel like I need to hold off but one of you should absolutely grab. I would remove the strap and tassel but the color of the leather is incredible.
A follower asked if I like the Red Bottega Jodie, although I love Bottega, I am not a huge Jodie fan and would go for this instead !
What I have been eating… I have been so obsessed with Heirloom tomatoes lately. Not Pictured but there is truly nothing better than a tomato grilled cheese. You have to make one if you haven’t tried. If anyone has any snack ideas to incorporate more tomatoes let me know !
What I have been testing… I used to be so afraid of face oil until I became absolutely obsessed with this one by Furtuna Skin (code CHEYENNE20). So I am now venturing out. I love pretty much everything by UBeauty (the lip compound is heavenly) and they just released this oil so an amazing place to start. I also am on the search for eye creams that I love, this one is first up to test!
What I have been using.. I am so convinced this eyeliner in cocoa cannot be beat. Victoria Beckham Beauty constantly impresses me with their formulas.. truly I have yet to try something I didn’t like which is wild. If you are new to VBB, I recommend you start here or with their liners (06 is my fav but go for 02 if you want a lighter liner nude shade)
Another on the list of what I have been using. Two empties of this face and eye serum with a third currently on the way lol. It has a very natural scent which I love. If you have this serum I am so interested to know if you also like the scent.
What I have been doing.. We had the best date ever at Hudson Table BK. It is a cooking competition and you are the judge. As a foodie, nothing is more fun than this. You absolutely should go.
What I have been reading… I picked this book up at the Saie Every Body Library event supporting Reproductive rights and am so excited to read. Other than starting this, I am on the last book of ACOTAR and highly, highly recommend. If you are concerned about it being a fantasy series lol I understand because that was my thought as well…try to overlook it because it is so worth it.
What I have been excited about….I have been wanting to try Blue Lagoon for a while now. I am so excited and will be diving in head first. Let me know if you are curious about any of these specifically!
I cannot thank you enough for being here and following along. This is all such a joy for me and to have anyone following along makes my heart happy. I’ll see you in two weeks!! Until then…on the other apps of course. Please comment anything specific you would like to be included next time!
That bag though...
Love what you said about the lack of niches, I don't like boxing myself into a single category and suppressing other sides of myself when I write, and I wouldn't want others to do it either.
